Available on every tab in your workspace — answers come with sources, the period, the calculation, and a confidence level.

Answers run on your connected books after signup. The sample keeps every number deterministic — it never improvises a reply.

Excel & Sheets setup

Install the add-in, connect it to your workspace, build the book in the spreadsheet and sync your edits back to the Plan.

Installation status

Excel (Office.js) ✓ Published in Microsoft AppSource — installs in one click.
Google Sheets ✓ Published in the Google Workspace Marketplace — installs in one click.

Install the add-in

Both add-ins install from their stores in one click — Microsoft AppSource for Excel, the Google Workspace Marketplace for Google Sheets. The by-hand install stays available under each button.

Install by hand instead
  1. Download the manifest with the button below.
  2. Excel on the desktop: Insert → My Add-ins → Upload My Add-in → choose the file you downloaded. Excel on the web: Insert → Add-ins → Upload My Add-in.
  3. An Ataski button appears on the ribbon and opens the pane. The pane loads from ataski.com over HTTPS.

Google Sheets

Install from Google Workspace Marketplace →

Install by hand instead
  1. Download the three files from the links below.
  2. In the spreadsheet: Extensions → Apps Script. In Project Settings, turn on showing the appsscript.json manifest and paste ours in.
  3. Paste Code.gs over the stub, add an HTML file named Sidebar and paste Sidebar.html into it. Save.
  4. Reload the spreadsheet → the Ataski menu → «Open sidebar». Google asks for consent once: the script is unpublished and runs in your own account.
Task-pane assets served ✓ OK
Manifest valid (SourceLocation) ✓ OK

Press «Connect» in the add-in — then allow it here

The add-in shows a six-digit code and a link back to this tab. You allow the request and the key reaches the spreadsheet on its own — nothing is pasted by hand.

Generating a sync token requires your own signed-in workspace — the Sample never mints credentials.

Sign in from the pane and build the book

In the pane press «Sign in to Ataski», choose the book and the scenario, then press «Build the book». Eighteen sheets appear — «Dashboard», «Model», «Cash», «Balance sheet», «Actuals», «Changes», «Log» and the rest; the blue cells are yours, everything else is an actual from the books or a formula the sheet calculates. «Dashboard» is the first screen: the closed month against the month before, the same month a year ago and the plan.

A Viewer can build the book and read it. Sending edits to the Plan needs a Member or an Admin.

Edit the blue cells and press «Sync now»

Edit the blue cells: a line's method is picked from the list, its inputs sit next to it, a number typed over a forecast month corrects that one month, and a new line is added as a row in the file itself. Then press «Sync now»: the method, the inputs, the assumptions, the seasonal coefficients and the months you typed over travel to the Plan — actuals from the books, formulas and totals never travel. What travels next is on «Changes», what already travelled is on «Log», and an uploaded file first lists what it would apply and waits for your confirmation.

These checks prove the server side only. Whether Excel actually loads the pane must be verified in a real Office host — an HTTP 200 on the task-pane URL is not that proof.

Upload an edited workbook

Three steps: download the book, work in Excel or Google Sheets, upload the same file back. What travels back: the blue cells, the months you typed over a formula, and the rows you added yourself. Nothing is applied until you have read the preview and confirmed it.
