For bookkeepers and accounting firms

Refer a client. Earn 20% for 12 months.

For bookkeeping and client-accounting firms that don't sell FP&A themselves. Introduce a client to the monthly report Ataski writes from their books; when they pay, you get 20% of what we collect for their first 12 paid months. Their price doesn't change.

  • Your client's price doesn't change
  • Paid monthly
  • We only read your client's books — never write
Example · one client on the $599/mo plan
  1. $599/moYour client's plan — one company, after a free first month
  2. $119.80To you for each paid month — 20%
  3. $1,437.60The most you earn on that client — 12 paid months

The free first month earns nothing, because nothing is collected.

How it works

  3. 3Get paid monthlyOnce the client pays, you get 20% of what we collect from them, every month, for their first 12 paid months.

Who it's for

For firms that keep the books, not the forecast

A good fit

  • US bookkeeping and client-accounting-services (CAS) firms
  • Firms that close the books but don't sell FP&A or monthly reporting packages themselves
  • Clients on QuickBooks Online or Xero — NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Zoho Books and Business Central are in beta

Ataski is not a CPA firm: no audit, review, assurance or tax advice.

Not a fit

  • Fractional CFOs and firms that sell FP&A or advisory reporting. To run reports for client companies yourself, see the Practice plan on Pricing.
  • Clients your firm audits, reviews or compiles — see the CPA rule below
  • Cold email or search ads in Ataski's name

The terms, in plain words

What you agree to, and what we agree to

  • 20% of what we collectFor each client you refer, you get 20% of what we actually collect from them for their first 12 paid months.
  • No client discountYour client pays the same price as everyone else. There is no discount and no markup.
  • Paid monthly, on a W-9Payouts go out monthly. We need a W-9 before the first payout and report what we pay you on Form 1099-NEC.
  • Tell your client about the feeBefore a client signs up, tell them Ataski pays you for the referral. This follows the FTC's Endorsement Guides.
  • CPAs: no fee on audit, review or compilation clientsIf your firm performs an audit, review or compilation for a client, we don't pay a commission on that client. This follows the AICPA Code, ET 1.520.
  • No cold email, no brand adsDon't send cold email in Ataski's name, and don't bid on “Ataski” in search ads. Recommending us to your own clients is what the program is for.

We send the partner agreement when we approve your application.

Questions

Before you apply

Does my client pay more because I referred them?

No. They pay the same price as anyone who signs up directly: the Financial Analyst is $599/mo for one company after a free first month. There is no client discount and no markup.

What does my client get?

A monthly management report written from their own books: the P&L and balance sheet against the prior month, a 13-week cash flow forecast and a written read of what moved and why. Ataski only reads the books — it never writes to them. The sample opens without signup. Open the sample

How do you know a client came from me?

Your referral link carries your code. When a client signs up within 90 days of opening it, the referral is recorded on their account, and their first payment starts your 12 months.

When and how am I paid?

Monthly, on what we collected from your referred clients, less refunds and sales tax. A month under $50 rolls over to the next one. We need a W-9 before the first payout and report what we pay you on Form 1099-NEC.

I'm a CPA. Can I join?

Yes, for clients your firm doesn't audit, review or compile. On those clients we don't pay a commission, in line with the AICPA Code (ET 1.520). For every other client, tell them about the fee before they sign up.
